The 1911 EMP is a compact 9mm single-action pistol with a 3-inch barrel and a 7.1-inch overall length. It weighs 27.5 ounces and holds nine rounds plus one in the chamber, with three magazines in the box. A forged stainless slide sits on a forged aluminum alloy frame with a Stainless/Silver finish. Cocobolo wood grips, factory night sights, an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety complete the build.

This is a 1911-style pistol in a shorter package, so it suits an owner who wants 1911 handling and a single-action trigger in a size that is easier to carry. The aluminum frame helps keep the weight down, and the night sights add visibility when the light is poor. As a handgun, the purchase runs through a Florida dealer, and the FDLE check is completed at pickup.
